Spring is just days away-the cold of winter is melting away into beautiful, balmy weather (mixed with a little rain, of course). Husbands are eagerly anticipating the launch of their “Honey-Do” lists, and wives are equally eager to supervise them all.
Spring usually drives us outside where we are faced with the reality of winter’s effects on our yard and home exterior. Don’t be overwhelmed-here are some easy tips to help get that list moving and give your home it’s spring face lift.
Spring Preparation for House owner:
- Clean out flower beds-Before everything explodes in bloom, clean out those flower beds and your landscaped areas. Pull out all the leaves and debris that are cluttering up those spaces.
- Refresh mulched/rocked areas-If you had a lot of rain or wintery weather-you may need to refresh your mulch or rock in your landscaped areas. You may need to add more or just rake out what you currently have to give it a fresh look.
- Inspect gutters and soffit-Make sure everything is attached properly and there are not holes or exposed areas in your soffit. Spring brings rain and damaged gutters or soffits can lead to water damage.
- Clean your exterior windows. If you’re a DIY-er, grab your supplies and have at it. If you want to stay safe on the ground then you hire someone (EasyPro of course!)
- Clean your exterior-Wash away all of that dirt and grime from the winter and have your house, roof, concrete, and deck looking like new again. (EasyPro can help with this to)
